各位親愛的家長及同學：

Dear parents and students,

上月忘記了報告有兩所幼稚園到LTY參加小一體驗日。我們屬校朱瑞蘭(中英文)幼稚園譚校長帶領著老師和40位學生前來參加我們的小一體驗活動。首先我以主人家的身份致歡迎詞，之後同學們分成兩隊，參加英語課堂及體育活動體驗。同學們都十分投入學習的活動，連英文老師大讚他們年紀少少，但能大膽地與老師用英語溝通，難得！

Two kindergartens visited our school at the end of July for their P.1 Experience Day. Principal Tam – Our affiliated school – LKWFS Chu Sui Lan Anglo-Chinese Kindergarten with 40 students visited LTY. Being the host, I addressed the welcoming speech. Then students were divided into 2 groups to join English lesson and P.E. lesson. Kindergarten students are engaged all the learning activities. Our English Panel head praised them to have good performance as they are willing and do not feel shy to speak in English.

翌日，仁愛堂葉德海幼稚園何校長帶領著老師及43位學生到校進行活動，我致歡迎詞後，同學們分成三大組，分別參加英文課、數學課及布袋球活動，同學們都十分享受小學生活。

The next day, Principal Ho - Yan Oi Tong Allan Yap Kindergarten leaded 43 students to visit our school. After I addressed the welcoming speech, students were divided into 3 groups to join English lesson, Math lesson and Cornhold activity. All the students really enjoyed the activities we arranged.

今年暑假已在八月十三日開始了，我們在八月十二、十三日舉行了「Summer Fiesta 夏日狂歡日」開放日活動，希望同學們在放假前有機會放鬆一下，另外，亦希望加深區內的幼稚園家長對LTY的認識。事實上，這四年間，LTY作出了很多改變，也令到區內多人認識了。當日安排了不同的活動，大家十分投入，特別有些頑皮的家長，居然用水槍向老師、主任，甚至校長進攻，當然我們也不甘示弱……反攻！最令我們高興，今次開放日，有很多年長的舊生回校懷緬昔日的情懷及與老師合照，難得！

Summer holiday started on 13th August 2022. An Open Day called ‘Summer Fiesta’ was held on 12th and 13th August 2022. It was hoped to give a chance for our students to relax themselves. Also, we wanted to refresh our reputation to the parents of kindergartens in this community. In fact, LTY had a great change within these 4 years that make lots of people to know. On that day, we arranged different kinds of activities and all the participants are so engaged and devoted especially some naughty parents. They do not dare to use the water pistol to shoot at teachers, senior teachers and even principal. Of course, I would not show my cowardice and revenged. I was so happy because lots of alumni came back to LTY to recall their memories and took pictures with teachers. It is treasurable.

對於老師而言，這算是有史以來最短的「暑假」，部分老師更犧牲自己的假期為學生安排活動，例如體育科主任-張嘉進老師給學生安排了跑步訓練，更為同學們訂製了服裝，以增強隊員團隊精神，部分家長更當上義工，照顧學生，真的令人感動。另外，我們的電腦科主任王詩琪老師，帶領學生去參加「計算思維挑戰賽現代盃校際賽」，並獲得冠軍。而當日現場也參加了Coding Galaxy E-sports邀請賽，他們再下一城，勇奪冠軍，令人鼓舞。老師們休息了一星期，又開始新一年的工作，今年我們有新老師的加入，九月時我再向大家介紹一下。

It is the shortest Summer Holidays for all the teachers. Some teachers were willing to sacrifice this short holiday to schedule some activities for our students. For instance, our P.E. Panel Head Mr. Deep Cheung, he arranged some training for our students and prepared a uniform for them to enhance the team spirit. Some parents became the volunteers to take care students while they were having the training. Moreover, our Computer Literacy Panel Head Miss Sally Wong leaded our students to get the Champion in the Modern Cup of Coding Galaxy Competition. On that day, there was a competition called Coding Galaxy E-Sports Invitational Challenge, we got the CHAMPION. It is really encouraging. All the teachers took a rest for a week only and they needed to start working. Quite a lot of new teachers join LTY and I will introduce them next month.

八月二十四日舉辦了小一家長會暨小一適應課程，家長及同學們都十分雀躍。事實上，家長會中有很多熟識的臉孔，原因大多數家長的子女已經是本校學生，今次送來上學的是弟弟妹妹，真的感謝家長們對我們的支持。

P.1 Parent Seminar with P.1 Orientation Day were held on 24th August 2022. Parents were excited. Actually, some parents I knew it before as their elder sons or daughters are studying in LTY. This time, their young sons or daughters come to study in LTY. I really want to take this opportunity to show my gratitude to them as they really support and love LTY.

時間過得特別快，還有一個多星期，又是新的一個學年了，祝願大家身體健康，學業進步。九月一日見！

Time flies, new academic year will start one week later. I wish all of you good health and huge improvement on studying. Let’s meet on 1st September 2022.
